John Davis
Class of '59
John Davis is a 1959 graduate of Mukwonago High School. While at MHS he earned 12 varsity letters – golf (2), baseball (2), track & field (2), basketball (3), and football (3).
In his senior year he was selected First Team All-Conference, First Team All-County and Honorable Mention All-State in both basketball (guard) and football (quarterback).
In addition, John participated in band, choir and on the newspaper staff. The MHS community provided great role models, a solid academic preparation, a well-rounded experience and friendships that are often remembered as they had a profound and lasting impact.
After high school John attended Carroll College (Waukesha) where he lettered in football all four years and was the starting quarterback for three years. Having earned a degree in education, John went to Mundalein High School (North-west Chicago suburbs) where he taught and coached for 20 years and served as the high school principal for 16 years. He retired in July, 2000.
John and his wife Marijo presently reside in Huntley, IL where they are near their three children and eight grandchildren.
John certainly left his mark on MHS.
