Fred Babeck
 

    Fred Babeck is a 1955 graduate of MHS.  Fred excelled in football, basketball, track and baseball.

    Fred's football accomplishments include being selected all conference three times, all county twice and being named to the all-millennium county football team.  Fred played on three championship teams, which included a 24 game winning streak.

    Fred was a four-time letterman in basketball including being part of two conference championship teams.

    In track Fred ran the 100, 200 and 880 relay.  He earned three letters in track and was undefeated in conference competition.  He was a member of the 880-relay team, which placed second in state two years in a row.

    In baseball Fred earned three letters.  He was an undefeated pitcher for three years including two championship teams and a tryout with the Milwaukee Braves.  Fred was selected the MHS outstanding male athlete his senior year, 1955.

    Fred resides in Big Bend.  He retired from Cooper Industries (Waukesha) in 1986.  Fred remains a staunch supporter of MHS athletics.  He misses very few football and basketball games.

    Fred is a walking encyclopedia of MHS athletics.
