Don Enright
Don Enright graduated from Mukwonago High School in 1954 as
salutatorian and was selected as the outstanding senior athlete, lettering in
football, basketball and baseball. He quarterbacked Mukwonago’s second place
finish in its first year in the Southern Lakes Conference and was the teams’
pitcher that won the conference baseball championship.
Don coached football, basketball and baseball in his 35 year
coaching career at MHS, which began in 1958. He was head football coach from
1965 through 1979 and selected Coach of the Year in 1973. He was head baseball
coach from 1980 through 1989 and was selected Waukesha County Baseball Coach of
the Year in 1987, when the Indians won the conference championship.
In 1971 he founded the Fellowship of Christian Athletes
Huddle group at Mukwonago High School and is still active as an adult leader,
ten years after his 1994 retirement.
