Bob Douglas

    Bob Douglas came to Mukwonago as an agricultural instructor in 1955.  He helped as a football assistant, coaching the frosh-sophomore teams for eleven seasons.

    Bob coached the boys' frosh basketball team for five seasons including a 32-game winning streak over three seasons before becoming the coach of the first girls' basketball team in 1975.  Bob was the Waukesha County Coach of the Year in 77-78 and 78-79.  The basketball team qualified for state competition in 1979 and set a state team rebound record that still stands.

    Coach Douglas assisted Coach Norm Bronson in girls' basketball for three years.

    Bob also coached varsity baseball for 25 years.  He was elected to the Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame in 1982.

    In addition, Bob coached girls' softball for eleven seasons, winning the Parkland Conference Championship in 1983.

    Bob retired from teaching in 1991, but assisted Coach Don Enright with frosh baseball for three seasons.
