Tom Knurr
Class of '75
Tom Knurr graduated from MHS in 1975. While at Mukwonago he earned seven varsity letters, two in football, two in track and three in baseball.
Tom ran in the mile relay and 880 relay, of which both relay teams qualified for the State track meet. The mile relay finished third at State. In baseball Tom was a three year varsity starter, playing short-stop or second base. Tom was selected Team Captain and was an All Conference player his senior year. Tom lettered his junior and senior years in football.
Unique to Tom was that he ran track and played baseball during the same season both his junior and senior years. He trained for track in his free time while baseball was everyday after school.
Tom attended WCTC from 1975 and graduated in 1977. He lettered both years in baseball and was the Team Captain in 1977.
Tom and his wife, Susie have three children, Tim, Ben and Michelle, all graduates of MHS. Tom proudly coached his children with other athletes in baseball for 10 years and basketball for five years.
Tom and Susie have been self-employed with the family business, Classic T Auto Body, since 1978 and a new business, Edgewood Storage since 2005.
Many thanks to Coach Nordy, Coach Douglas and Coach Enright, all of who were influential coaches during Tom’s high school career.
