Steven Lange
Class of '71
Steven Lange graduated from Mukwonago High School in 1971 where he earned five varsity letters in two sports, basketball and football. Steven also was on the track and field team.
Steven was named MVP in both his junior year and senior year in basketball. As a senior he was named Player of the Year in the Southern Lakes Conference. He was nominated for the Statewide Player of the Week award twice. Steven was the Southern Lakes leading scorer and top point maker in Waukesha County as well. Twice he scored over 40 points. His senior year he also was named to the First Team All County Basketball team.
Steven was a two year starter in football playing tight end on offense and defensive end on defense. After one particularly good game he received the “Headhunter” award from Coach Enright.
After high school Steven went on to the University of Wisconsin-Platteville on a basketball scholarship. He now resides in Florida with his wife and two children, although his heart belongs in Wisconsin as he is an avid Wisconsin Badger football fan and has been to the past two Rose Bowls to see them play.
