Gerriann Crawley
Class of '80
Gerriann Crawley graduated from Mukwonago High School in 1980 where she participated in volleyball, basketball and softball.
Gerriann lettered twice in volleyball and started as a setter both her junior and senior years. She earned the honor of Outstanding Server both years and received All-Conference honors her senior year.
During her two seasons as a varsity basketball letter-winner, Gerriann excelled at defense. Her senior year, she received the Defensive Award, and upon her graduation, she was sixth in career steals as a varsity player at Mukwonago. As a junior, she had the memorable experience of belonging to the first girl’s team from Mukwonago to make it to the State tournament. Her senior year, in recognition of her leadership and dedication to the game, her teammates named her team captain.
As a member of the first Mukwonago High School softball team, Gerriannn lettered three times. She started as second base as a sophomore and as pitcher both her junior and senior years. She earned All-Conference honors as a pitcher both years and was the team MVP her senior year.
Gerriann received the Outstanding Senior Female Athlete Award as well as the Indian Award as a senior. She played basketball for one year at UW-Stevens Point while earning her elementary education degree. She is currently teaching in the St. Francis School District.
Gerriann’s involvement in athletics continues today primarily in the coaching capacity, and for the past six years, she has had the opportunity to coach her daughter. Athletics were important to Gerriann while growing up, and she seeks to provide young girls with the same positive experiences she had as a Mukwonago High School athlete.
