Dennis Schmidt
Class of '65

Dennis Schmidt is a 1965 graduate of MHS.  While at MHS Dennis earned eight varsity letters, football (4), basketball (2), and track (2).

In football Dennis was a workhorse seldom coming off the field playing linebacker on defense, end on offense and being the team’s kicker.  Dennis earned All-Conference honors both his junior and senior years.

In basketball Dennis played in the front court where he concentrated on defense.  Dennis was happy to focus on defense because Tom Kukla and Bob Muran, his front court teammates were prolific scorers.  He credits Coach Jerry Swan for instilling a team concept and disciplined style which led to their success.

After high school Dennis joined the Wisconsin Air National Guard.  He attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering and Silver Lake College where he received his degree in management.

He has spent over 30 years in the HVAC industry.  He lives in the Mukwonago area with his wife of 23 years, Jan.  His sons Brian and Mark are MHS grads who both excelled in sports.  Karly, his daughter attends Parkview Middle School where she is a sprinter on the track team.
