ATHLETIC DISCLIPLINARY APPEAL PROCESS FORM

If an athlete and their parent feels that the athletic director has unjustly administered the consequences of an athletic code violation or academic suspension the form below must be filed with the athletic director within one week of notification of discipline/and or suspension.

- An appeal committee comprised of one building administrator (excluding the athletic director) and two coaches (one representing girls’ sport, one representing boys’ sport, not related to the student athlete’s sport(s)) will hear the appeal.

The athletic director will notify parent/student of appeal date (a mutually agreeable time and date will be sought).

The appeal hearing format:

- The AD will present facts as known and rationale for decision (10-minute max.)

The parent/student will present their argument (15-minute max.)

The committee may ask questions.

The appeal committee will inform the parent/student and the athletic director of their decision within 24 hours of the hearing. The decision of the appeal committee is final.
